VERTESS Announces Acquisition of Helping Hands by Addus HomeCare

Published September 16th 2025

FORT WORTH, Texas, September 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- VERTESS (https://vertess.com), a leading healthcare mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory firm, is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of Pennsylvania-based Helping Hands Home Care Services (https://helpinghandshomecareservice.com/) by Addus HomeCare (Nasdaq: ADUS; https://addus.com/), a leading provider of home-based care services.

Helping Hands, led by CEO Wyatt Campbell, operates three locations in western Pennsylvania, delivering a range of home-based services, primarily personal care, along with home health and hospice care. The company employs more than 500 staff members who serve approximately 600 patients daily.

The transaction was overseen by VERTESS Managing Director/Partner, Anna Elliott, who has a long and successful transactional history in the home health industry. Her exceptional background was invaluable in leading this transaction to a successful conclusion. She noted that Helping Hands’ reputation, as well as financial and organizational strength supported a smooth transaction and was a significant asset during negotiations.

Helping Hands CEO, Wyatt Campbell noted, “We are very pleased with the outcome. This transaction is aligned with our commitment to providing quality, compassionate care that allows more patients to stay in the preferred home setting. We believe this will be a smooth integration of operations and we look forward to working together with new ownership to expand coverage and capabilities.”

“I could not be more pleased with this outcome, both for my client and for Addus,” noted Elliott. “The partnership they’ve created will augment Helping Hands’ presence in their communities and help more people in need.”
