We find value in everything.

While we specialize in healthcare M&A’s, our valuation team handles everything from stock and asset sales to bank loan applications.

Valuation Services

Our valuation experts use industry best practices and real-time data to determine the worth of your healthcare company. Valuation is a crucial step that provides a basis for negotiating the purchase price and terms of a deal.

Types of Valuation

M&A Market Valuation

The M&A Market Valuation uses a market and income approach to estimate the value of a business/practice. First, the market approach uses comparable company data or recent M&A transactions of similar businesses/practices to derive a valuation multiple and apply it to your company’s metrics (e.g., revenue, EBITDA, earnings). Then, the income approach converts anticipated future income or cash flows into a present value using an appropriate discount or capitalization rate.

Calculation of Market Value Valuation

A calculation of market value is a limited-scope valuation. This estimated value of a business happens without a full valuation report or comprehensive analysis but does include market approach, income approach and sometimes asset approach.

Certified Fair Market Value (FMV) Valuation

A certified fair market value (FMV) valuation is a professionally prepared, comprehensive business valuation report conducted by a certified valuation expert, such as a CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst). This valuation includes market approach, multiple income approaches and sometimes asset approach.

Value Building

ValueVertex™ is our proprietary system that helps estimate the value of your healthcare company – and works to increase it. If you're early in the exit process or planning to sell your business in three to five years, now is the time to boost value-building efforts so that you can get the most for your baby when it's time to sell. Our value-building system reviews key areas of your business and recommends changes that will improve its value and sustainability. Put the power of ValueVertexTM and our experienced team to work on your valuation.

We engaged VERTESS to facilitate a re-visioning session as the ANCOR Foundation struggled to set a new direction for our future. VERTESS successfully helped us to sift through some great ideas, identify several obtainable goals and then move forward with the implementation of a very creative plan of action. I highly recommend VERTESS for their expertise in this area.

Vertess Advisors provided intermediary assistance to us when we decided to sell our human service training company, Practical Training Solutions. We were extremely pleased with their professional approach and practical guidance throughout the entire process, which they were able to expedite, exceeding our initial expectations. The end result was very positive for us as well as the new owner of PTS. I would enthusiastically recommend VERTESS to anyone seeking a productive transition from their company.

VERTESS assisted us through several complex meetings during which we laid out our future growth and diversification strategy. We were so impressed with VERTESS' strong, direct yet friendly style that we asked them back as we contemplated sharing resources with a sister company. By the end of another series of facilitated meetings we concluded that we should merge the two companies entirely. VERTESS helped us through the difficult process of planning the implementation and did it in a very efficient manner. VERTESS is unique in the world of consultants. They not only bring more real world experience than most, they also have real insight into human behavior and their calm yet direct style makes things happen.

Gompers was presented with an acquisition opportunity on short notice and we turned to David Coit and the VERTESS team to help us with guidance and an assessment in order to determine how to proceed. They immediately stepped in with a very professional analysis and guidance which enabled us to proceed with a transaction that has considerable value for our future and long term goals. The VERTESS team advised me with a very professional, long-term perspective as we negotiated the labyrinth of due diligence and some complexities in the regulatory process. The end result was so positive that I enlisted their services in pursuing the acquisition of another company. I have no hesitation in referring VERTESS to other perspective buyers or sellers.
